Starlink sends you a kit with everything you need to get online including your Starlink, Wi-Fi router, cables and base. The kit comes pre-connected with everything you need to access the internet. To connect, download the Starlink App, place your Starlink where it has a clear view of the sky and plug it in. Your Starlink Kit includes a base, which is ideal for ground level installation or a quick setup to test your connection. Since Starlink requires a clear view of the sky in order to connect with the satellite network, many customers use a permanent mount above ground level. You need to download the Starlink app to determine your best installation location. This can be downloaded on IOS and Android.

Starlink satellites are offer a discrete dish and cabling, so the only way you’ll notice Starlink broadband being there, will be your improved broadband! Alternatively, Starlink can be injected into your current network or WIFI setup, so there’s no need for a break in your current contract. The more popular Starlink becomes, the better the broadband! - they are launching more satellites, installing more ground stations and improving their networking software and speed. The service is still in beta. During beta, users can expect to see data speeds vary from 50Mb/s to 150Mb/s and latency from 20ms to 40ms in most locations over the next several months as they enhance the Starlink system. There will also be brief periods of no connectivity at all.
